Asphalt is the often-unappreciated "first impression" of any business. Many people don't even realize they're making judgments just based on the parking lot, but it's a common occurrence. That means you want your asphalt to be safe, attractive, and functional. Luckily, that's where commercial asphalt repair and sealcoating come in!
Asphalt is a versatile substance that creates great streets, driveways, parking lots and more. However, it can be damaged over time as it is subjected to the elements. Constant exposure to rain, ice, and harsh sunlight can cause cracks as well as crumbling over time. That's why asphalt must be treated with sealcoating.
There's so much to do in the summer! But there's one important thing we've gotta remind you to add to your to-do list: seal coating your asphalt.
Summer is the best time (and for some, the only time) to seal asphalt for a number of reasons (more on that in a moment). But because of the high demand, contractors tend to book up throughout the summer. It's vital that you plan ahead to take advantage of the summer days on this important task.
Sealcoating asphalt is an essential step in maintaining it, and now is the time of year when the sealcoating season is in full swing. But do you know what it is or why it’s so crucial? Not to worry, we have all the info you need.
Why Sealcoating is Important
For preventative care, sealcoating is pivotal in extending the life of asphalt pavement. It protects the surface of the asphalt from damaging components like moisture and oxidation, which can damage asphalt and require repairs.
Even though we love Autumn, we don’t all love the season that follows it. As the Starks say, “winter is coming” and you must be prepared. Part of that is getting your driveway ready. We can help you get prepped for the earth’s toughest season.
Seasonal Seal Coating
Time is running out for you to get your driveway seal coated before the Fall really kicks into high gear. Ideally, Spring is the best time for seal coating, but you can certainly have success in October and November, weather permitting.
